Google Workspace Configuration
Fishbowl integrates directly with your Google Workspace Calendar resources.
There are two ways to connect Fishbowl to Google Workspace:
-
Service Account (Application Credentials). Use a Google Cloud service account with domain-wide delegation. Credentials are entered once during linking and shared across all your devices. No interactive sign-in is required on the device. This is the recommended method.
-
OAuth (Sign in on Device). Sign in interactively with a Google account on each device. The device uses delegated permissions granted to the signed-in user.
Both methods require Calendar resources in Google Workspace. If you haven't set them up yet, follow the steps below before proceeding to either method.
Note: When signing in with a Google account in Fishbowl for Android (OAuth method), this account is automatically linked to Gmail and other Google apps on the tablet. If this is a security risk in your organization, then please use the Service Account method, create a separate Google account for this purpose, install an appropriate Android kiosking app to prevent access to these apps, or use iPads instead.
